During their meeting following the ceremony, the Ambassador emphasized that his goal was to strengthen relations between the two countries and promote mutual understanding, underscoring the importance of Finno-Ugric ties. He indicated that, in addition to traditional foreign policy issues, he would seek to identify new areas of cooperation in fields such as culture, science, and sports. He praised Estonia's digital development and its pioneering role in the application of artificial intelligence, which could serve as an important guidance for Hungary as well.
The parties agreed that maintaining dialogue is necessary in order to speak openly about issues on which they do not necessarily agree. The Ambassador also indicated that during his term of office, he would like to focus on areas that connect rather than divide the two countries.
